Sallie Hamilton Personnel and Lee Temporaries

About Us

 Guidelines
  • It is your responsibility to call us when you are available for work.  It is only necessary to call once a week.  If you do not call in a three week period it is considered a voluntary quit.
  • If you have a problem while on assignment, DO NOT WALK OFF!  Finish the shift and notify us for reassignment.  NEVER take an assignment if you do not intend to show up for work.  Walking off the job or not showing up for work results in immediate dismissal.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • As an employee of Lee Temporaries you may use client-owned equipment on assignments.  If you do not return the equipment at the end of the assignment, Lee Temporaries will deduct the full amount of the equipment from your paycheck.
  • Upon completion of an assignment (or temporary shutdown) you are required to inform Lee Temporaries of your availability.  Failure to do so will be considered a voluntary quit.  The Michigan Unemployment Law requires an employee to seek additional work from his/her employer upon completion of an assignment.  Failure to seek additional work upon completion of an assignment could result in denial of unemployment benefits.
  • The use of company phones for personal calls on company time is prohibited.  Long distance calls at any time are expressly prohibited and will result in dismissal.  Use Lee Temporaries' number for emergencies.
  • Timecards must be completely filled out, signed and received by our office no later than noon (12 pm) on Mondays.  We will not accept any timecards with changes or corrections.  We need a clean copy to issue you a check.  IF YOUR TIMECARD IS RECEIVED LATE IT WILL BE PROCESSED WITH THE NEXT WEEK'S PAYROLL.  All checks are mailed Friday morning.  Employees may pick up their checks in person between 2 and 5pm on Thursday.  CHECKS ARE NOT AVAILABLE BEFORE 2pm.
  • Absences/Sick Days:  Dependability is a must!  If you cannot work because you are sick, you must contact Lee Temporaries as well as your assigned company at least 3 hours prior to your shift start time.  Excessive sick days without a doctor's note may result in termination.
  • Tardiness: Arrive on time to work.  It is better to be 15 minutes early than 1 minute late!  Excessive tardiness will result in termination.
  • Pay: Pay is confidential!  Pay is not to be discussed with coworkers or with supervisors at your work assignment.  Any issues of pay should be discussed with Lee Temporaries.  Discussion of pay with other temporaries/coworkers is grounds for immediate dismissal.
  • Overtime: Overtime is paid at time and a half based on a 40 hr/wk.  Overtime is NOT based on an 8 hour day.  Vacation days cannot be used as overtime.
  • Holiday Pay: One holiday will be paid after each 500 consecutive hours worked.  No more than 2 days may be missed during that time.  You must keep track of your own hours, inform us when you are eligible for your holiday pay and send us copies of your paycheck stubs with the hours added up to prove your hours worked.  You are required to work the day before and the day after the holiday.  We will not keep track of or look up hours for anyone.
  • Vacation Pay: 1 week (5 days) vacation will be paid after each 2080 consecutive hours worked.  No more than 5 days may be missed during that time.  You must keep track of your own hours, inform us when you are eligible for your paid vacation and send us copies of your paycheck stubs to prove your hours worked.  We will not keep track or look up hours for anyone.
IMPORTANT: Paycheck stubs must be in order of the dates you worked with no weeks missing.  Start with your first paycheck stub and end with your most current paycheck stub.  If paycheck stubs are not in order they will not be processed.  ONLY ACTIVE EMPLOYEES OF LEE TEMPORARIES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR VACATION AND HOLIDAY PAY.
  • Insurance:  Life and health insurance are available after 1000 hours of employment.  Ask your client service representative for more information.
  • Stealing, fighting or the use of weapons will result in immediate dismissal.  Reporting to work under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or the possession of these substances on the job site will result in immediate dismissal.
Keep us informed.  In the event a client decides to hire you permenently, please contact our office.
